Vehicle Marketing Specialist

San Francisco, CA

Do you enjoy working outdoors? Do you thrive when you’re working on your own without someone watching over your shoulder throughout the day?

AutoUpLink Tech connects automotive retailers with their customers by designing easy to use, captivating web and native software applications. We help retailers coordinate interaction with each consumer throughout the customer lifecycle from initial acquisition to vehicle ownership, delivering a transparent consumer experience that improves dealership customer acquisition and retention. Our team includes brilliant people who share the goal to free companies from buying expensive, difficult-to-use, enterprise software. It’s exciting stuff. And you can be part of it. Work with amazing people doing amazing things. You’ll learn heaps and be challenged daily. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there’s no telling what you could accomplish.

As a Content Merchandising Expert you will visit dealerships each day and use our software to create marketing content about their vehicles that are available for sale. We call this “Vehicle Merchandizing," and it is the work before, during and after the vehicle is stocked into inventory at a dealership to produce marketing content (vehicle description, options, pricing, comments, photos, video, window labels, etc.). A dealership needs this vehicle content to advertise and position vehicles online and offline. Kick ass merchandizing is not just gut instinct and hard work, it’s a science (repeatable, predictable, detail-oriented, data-driven). When done well and consistently, vehicle listings will produce more sales ready leads, improving vehicle turn and profitability, which begins with great eye-popping vehicle content. Do it poorly and inconsistently, and lead volume will decrease over time.

The Content Creation team you will work in is a service delivery group that works with customers in a local geographic area (not the entire SFO area). You will visit an assigned set of dealerships regularly to deliver content creation services. The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years professional photography experience related to vehicle photos or video as well as a working knowledge of automotive retail vehicle prep and listings online.
